Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP's) - Mrs Ali Anderson, Mrs Joyce Hendry and  Ms Lindsay McNab are highly skilled and very experienced members of the team.  The ANP's are available each day of the week where they deal with many aspects including the ability to triage and carry out examinations and prescribe medications as necessary.

Here at Bruce Medical Centre our Practice Nurse - Sister Sheila Rooney & Sister Stacey Mulvaney.  Our Practice Nurses cover a wide variety of disciplines such as appointments for the following issues:  Chronic Disease Management,  including Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Chronic Heart Disease, Hypertension, Well Woman and Well Man health checks.

The Practice Nurses are fully qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, cervical smears, blood test taking, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks, and travel vaccinations.  

Ana Marques is our Health Care Assistant who provides support to the Practice Nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering patient centred care.

Ana also helps to deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for making appointments and general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists follow practice protocols set by the doctors to help provide best patient care.   They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions/ prescription enquiries, hospital referrals/enquiries.
